Harald Hårfager (Norwegian: Harald Hårfagre, Old Norse: Haraldr Hárfagri), born about 850, died about 933, was Norway's unifier and its first regent, the period 860−930. According to the Heimskringla and other medieval texts, he was the son of Halvdan Svarte, who is said to have taken the first step towards the unification of Norway.
